3. Day 03

   Birkat Al Mouz & Nizwa

   Bid farewell to the coast as you journey inland to the historic heart of Oman. Your day begins with a scenic drive into the Al Hajar Mountains. Your first stop is the charming date-palm oasis of Birkat Al Mouz, where you'll explore its traditional mud-brick houses and marvel at the ancient falaj irrigation system—an engineering marvel of the desert. The journey continues to the cultural epicenter of Nizwa, Oman's historic capital. Here, you'll wander through the bustling Nizwa Souq, a sensory feast of silver, spices, and pottery, before stepping back in time within the formidable walls of the iconic Nizwa Fort. 4. Day 04

   Today's journey ascends from the historic plains into the dramatic heart of the Al Hajar Mountains. You'll drive towards Jebel Shams, Oman's highest peak, for awe-inspiring views over a landscape of jagged peaks and deep gorges, including the stunning vista into Wadi Ghul, the "Grand Canyon of Arabia." Your exploration of heritage continues in Al Hamra, one of Oman's oldest villages, where you'll wander among ancient mudbrick houses and step inside the Bait Al Safah Museum for a living immersion into traditional Omani life. The adventure climbs higher to the breathtaking mountain oasis of Misfah Al Abriyyin, a village of terraced plantations clinging to the cliffs.
